Big Data and Big Science Awareness Day 2024

The Big Data and Big Science Awareness Day 2024 event aims to raise awareness and foster networking for big instrumentation facilities like Synchrotrons. Guest speakers will discuss the impact of such facilities on scientific topics like food security, natural and cultural heritage, material sciences, and biomedicine in South Africa.

A special Think Tank session will also be hosted for postgraduates and researchers to develop project proposals for Synchrotron facilities. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications and we hope to see you there. South African labs and researchers are invited to showcase their work through poster presentations featuring X-ray or neutron analytical techniques.
